I think you're right about the similarity between english and chinese ancient language when it comes to verses or poems. I sometimes feel modern chinese is less powerful in expression, less neat and tend to be prolix : M$ ?0 u0 ^# ~6 n: k6 L2 ~( Y2 g9 v !
